We are looking for an independent and responsible person who has a high ambition to drive change and excellence in terms of ecommerce and digital sales for Essentiel Antwerp. You will be responsible for technical support of the E-commerce development and design. You provide an excellent service in lieu of business and customer needs and shape the unique Essentiel Antwerp brand experience. You will be working at our E-commerce department, in close collaboration with our other departments and will report to Head of E-commerce. Our ambition is to grow internationally and enter new markets strategically and successfully, with scaling up and optimizing our processes. Technical support of the E-commerce development and design

You will be / act as:

  • Bridge between business, create and technology
  • In charge of translating business needs into functional requirements and following that up all the way to implementation
  • Ongoing: support issues – monitoring, logging, troubleshooting and updating bugs
  • New functionality – analyze company data, feedback and needs and prioritize a list of new functionalities to push the company further along
  • New developments – from A to Z, from suggestion, to development to pushing live
  • Responsible for smooth daily operations

Reporting directly to Head of Ecommerce and Digital, working closely together with Ecommerce, Marketing as well as IT and Sales department, where necessary.


Skills & experience

  • DevOps mindset
  • Ability to transform business needs to technical and functional requirements and demonstrate potential gains
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize well
  • Experience with Magento 1 or other e-commerce platform is a must
  • Excellent team work skills as this function requires cross-functional collaboration and distillation of the most relevant points to focus on
  • UX and front-end development understanding and experience a big plus
  • You have outstanding analytical skills and you have the ability to pick up new technologies quickly and independently.
  • You have excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and team working ability
  • You are detail-oriented and work with a high level of precision
  • You have excellent analytic skills, are detail oriented and work in a systemic way
  • You write and speak English and Dutch fluently
  • You are stress-resistant and you have a positive attitude.
  • You take ownership.
  • You proactively generate ideas, know how to prioritize, and are diligent
  • You have a bachelor degree or equivalent in experience
  • Experience in the following is a big advantage:Navision, Zendesk, fashion/retail
  • You have a minimum of 3 years experience (or equivalent) in a similar job. Previous experience with web development is desirable
