Project Manager – Retail RFID project (part-time/freelance)

Your mission

In September 2017, we will be launching a project to use RFID technology in the antitheft tags of our clothes to ensure an efficient tracking of goods at all stages of the supply chain, improve accuracy of stock levels and closely monitor shrinkage. In order to ensure the success of this project, we are looking for a part-time/freelance Project Manager for the period September 2017 -May 2018 (9 months), with possible extension until September 2018 (12-13 months).

Your responsibilities

  • During the first phase of the RFID project [September 2017 - May 2018], your role will be to successfully setup and manage the following sub-projects:
    • The Pilot Project, including roll-out of the RFID-technology in two Essentiel outlet stores, for which KPI’s and criteria have been defined;
    • The preparation of all aspects related to the full roll-out of the RFID system in our 30 stand-alone stores in Belgium, France, Spain and the Netherlands.

  • In this role, you will have to:
        • Lead and facilitate communication between all actors of the project:
          • Our IT, Production, Supply Chain & Retail departments
          • Our logistics partner
          • The RFID integrator & RFID system manufacturer
        • Perform an in-depth (sub-)tasks analysis, definition and assignment
        • Setup a sound and solid project plan which will be the foundation of the project
        • Follow-up on all developments and adaptations, eg. interfaces between IT-systems (ERP, WMS, cashier desks…), modification of the supply chain from manufacturers up to the stores, …
        • Continuously monitor the Pilot Project’s KPI’s and criteria to guarantee an objective “go/no go” for the roll-out in all stores
        • Organize regular workshops and status/communication meetings with relevant actors to ensure the right project’s rhythm
        • Make sure the project’s timing and budget remain on-track
        • Document the project throughout its entire duration

After a successful Pilot Project, the second phase of the RFID project [June 2018 - September 2018] will be the effective roll-out of the project in all Essentiel stores.

Skills & experience:

  • You have proven Project Management experience in IT/technical environments;
  • You have strong communication skills, written and spoken;
  • You have strong people management skills to motivate your project team and keep them on-track;
  • You quickly understand the big picture, you can dig into the right details when necessary;
  • You are highly organized and efficient in multi-tasking;
  • You have a problem solving attitude;
  • You are critical and an efficient risk assessor;
  • You are immune to stress;
  • You are fluent in English, Dutch and French;
  • Knowledge of IT, supply-chain and RFID
