While care for the planet begins with product design, it truly comes to life through extending a product’s lifespan. Product design should consider the entire lifecycle of a product – how it is used, cared for, repaired, passed on, reused, and ultimately recycled. Giving items a second chance in someone else’s wardrobe makes a tangible difference.


With RE–SSENTIEL, we think in reverse. This digital platform invites our customers to rediscover, revive and re-celebrate Essentiel Antwerp. Launched in Belgium in September 2022, our resale service quickly expanded to other markets like the Netherlands, France and Germany, and in 2024 we extended it even further to include Austria, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain.


We’re proud to have been the first Belgian fashion brand to launch such an initiative, and even prouder of the enthusiastic response it has received from our international community. The success of RE–SSENTIEL inspires us to continue exploring innovative business models and to join others across the industry in reimagining what responsible fashion can look like.
